Miah Industries LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Recipe & Pantry mobile app and its companion website (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
- Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and password to authenticate you.
- Household and recipe data. Recipes, ingredients, pantry items, meal plans, and shopping lists you or members of your household create or import.
- Photos. Photos you take or choose (of recipes, receipts, or pantry shelves) to add content to your account.
- Purchase information. If you subscribe, Apple processes your payment and shares with us only whether your subscription is active — we never see or store your payment card details.
How We Use Information
We use the information above only to operate the Service:
- To create and secure your account, and connect you with your household.
- To store and display your recipes, pantry, meal plans, and shopping lists.
- When you use photo-capture features, the photo you submit is sent to a third-party AI processing service solely to extract recipe or pantry information from it (for example, reading ingredients off a receipt). The photo is not used to train any model and is not retained by us beyond what's needed to complete that request.
- To provide customer support when you contact us.
- To manage your subscription and free trial through Apple's App Store.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or third-party tracking.
How Information Is Shared
Recipes, pantry data, meal plans, and shopping lists you create are visible to every member of your household — that's the core purpose of the app. We do not share your information with anyone outside your household except:
- Service providers who host our infrastructure (database hosting and the AI photo processing described above), bound to only use your data to provide the Service to us.
- Apple, for subscription billing and management.
- If required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
Data Storage
Your data is stored on Supabase, a hosted database provider. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of electronic storage is completely secure.
Your Choices
You can edit or delete individual recipes, pantry items, and other content directly in the app at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below and we will process your request.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
